Conversay Platform Products

The Conversay Master Developer Suite (CMDS) is a powerful, flexible development tool enabling C/C programmers to build speech applications for a variety of embedded platforms.

CMDS 2007 works in concert with CASSI and HQ-TTS to provide a source-level software development environment for embedded product developers and manufacturers. Using the library of APIs in CMDS, developers can quickly write CASSI-based applications for cellular phones, PDAs, laptops, cockpit systems or other mobile devices or embedded systems for command and control, data entry, or information retrieval. OEMs have full flexibility in terms of hardware platforms and applications.

CMDS 2007 promotes a modular design, with separate modules for speech recognition, text pre-processing, dynamic topic compilation, and TTS (Text-To-Speech). All modules share common resources, such as language models and dictionaries, thereby increasing overall system efficiency. By selecting only the components needed, system designers can match hardware capabilities with a specific, desired feature set. This makes CMDS 2007 extremely powerful in providing speech-enabled interfaces in mobile devices with limited memory, battery power and CPU resources.

In addition to APIs and API documentation, CMDS also includes a set of sample applications, along with annotated source code for those applications, to provide developers unfamiliar with speech the basics of writing conversational applications. Developers routinely and enthusiastically single out CMDS as being the best speech engine API in terms of clarity, ease of use and flexibility.

CMDS 2007 is available for the following OS platforms:

  • Win 32 (Win XP, Windows 2000)
  • Win CE (Pocket PC and Smartphone varieties, including Windows Mobile 5)
  • Symbian Series 60
  • BREW
  • Nucleus OS
  • UMTS
  • VxWorks 6.2
  • Green Hills Integrity

CMDS 2.0 supports all CASSI spoken and programming languages and HQ-TTS languages.
